man with smartphone photoWhether you’re new to travelling by bus, or a seasoned traveller making an unfamiliar journey, there are a number of resources available so you can plan your journey in advance and travel in confidence.

Network West Midlands Journey Planner

The Network West Midlands (NWM) website has a very handy journey planning tool that will allow you to plan your journey in advance and give exact details on the journey you will need to take. You can specify various other public transport methods apart from the bus, and you can be provided with step-by-step walking instructions for travelling between interchange stops

Google Maps

You can also plan public transport journeys using Google Maps (website and app). Right-click on the map to select your ‘from’ and ‘to’ points, and then click the Transit icon (that looks like a train)

Traveline

The Traveline Midlands website offers a journey planning service that will even plan your journey beyond the West Midlands!

Mobile Apps

For journey planning on the move, use the Network West Midlands NetNav app, see the Apps page for more information and links.

Other mobile apps I have used that are very useful and I can personally recommend are ‘Citymapper’ and ‘Moovit’, search for them in the Apple or Google Play stores.
